A surprising trend on TikTok is content featuring cleaning hacks with hashtags like #CleanTok racking up over 53B views! Originally popular during Covid quarantine, this style of content is perfect for cleaning product brands like Silvo.

To tap into this popularity, metalware polish brand Silvo collaborated with TRIBE’s TikTok creator community to generate before & after style videos showing how effective their product is in polishing jewellery. Specifically wanting to increase their sales at Sainsbury's, creators went in-store to purchase the product before heading home to show it in action.

Hashtag Challenge, Micro vs Macro, How-To/Tutorial Content, Before & After


With the overall campaign reaching almost half a million, the use of hashtags like #clean #CleaningHacks and #CleanTok helped micro creators like @rachaelcasey, to rack up over 400k views despite a smaller following of just 11.2k. The proof is in the pudding with the power of TikTok’s algorithm.
